VOLUNTEER AT MID-LIN
The role of a Bus Escort is to safely assist our service users in travelling to and from the centre. This involves supporting service users from their home and onto our mini buses either in the morning, afternoon or both.
Transport to and from the centre is an important part of Mid-Lin's services. Drivers also support us by helping drive for our outings and trips. Minibus drivers will drive a planned route, picking up or dropping off service users en route. You will be required to have a D1 driving license. Drivers are required in the morning, afternoon or both.
Volunteer Carers provide support to our service users in a wide variety of ways. This could be through direct support to people who use the service or by supporting the running of the service by helping in the kitchen, garden or with domestic duties. Volunteer Carers are required throughout the day in the centre.
All volunteers will receive any training necessary and can claim for reasonable business expenses.
